chiC day. [&&figuring out who i am]

Yesterday was an easy going-chic-walk around-i have nowhere to be-and everything to see-downtownSan Diego day.

We started off in what is known as Little Italy. Little Italy today represents Downtown San Diego’s oldest continuous neighborhood business district. Creative builders and architects have and are continually building beautiful new developments on India street, telling the story of Little Italy to its visitors through public art displays and amazing piazzas. On Saturdays, they have an early risers farmers market and throughout the week they have live music. In October, they have all kinds of fall festivities and nearing Christmas, lighting of the tree and a Christmas village :)

The early afternoon consisted of eating at an italian restaurant---darn it, I wish I remembered it's name! We cruised along India Street to find some unique pictures to take [go figure..me, take pictures? nooooo :-)]

After walking India Street, we headed down towards the coast where we found Seaport Village - A 14 acre waterfront shopping, dining and entertainment complex recreating a harbor side setting of a century ago. It's four miles of meandering cobblestone pathways bordered by ponds, lakes, fountains and colorful, lush landscaping. What I was most fascinated with was its quarter mile boardwalk along the San Diego Bay, viewing Coronado from a distance.

We meandored our way into a restaurant directly on the water called "San Diego Pier Cafe" - we enjoyed an ice cold margarita with the view of the bridge to Coronado and sail boats passing through the blue, sunlit water. A "funny shirt" store fished us in by a shirt on it's manican wearing a "SUNDAY FUNDAY" t-shirt...yep, we def stopped for some fun and grabbed a shirt to bedazzle for sundays :)

Another successful day in CAL-i-FoorRrrrrrnia!!

I'm trying to discover who I am by broadening my culture, experiences and outlook - try it! It's the best way to figure out what your passion is and what you love and dislike :)
